Our Mission Statement To advocate on a non-discriminatory basis for needy children in our local community through a variety of scholarships. Our History Mike's Kids was created in 1999 to memorialize Mike Meade, an Anamosa School District alumnus who left us too soon in life. Mike was interested and participated in a wide variety of sports, but also felt strongly about helping others in our community. It is this sense of charity and love of community that Mike's Kids strives to maintain in Mike's memory. Mike's Kids is a 501C3 non-profit organization that donates 100% of earnings directly to scholarships for the benefit of local students. Our Success Mike's Kids scholarships were provided to 78 students in 2010. Our organizational goal is to help 75-85 students each year. Our Primary Fund Raiser The annual Mike's Kids Golf Tournament is held each year on the 1st Saturday after Memorial Day at the Wapsipinicon Country Club in Anamosa, Iowa. Come join us!!
